Yarnadelic von John Arbon Textiles besteht zu 100% aus Falklands Corriedale. Diese Rasse ist etwa 100 Jahre alt und entstand aus einer Kreuzung zwischen Merino und Lincoln Longwool. Die Eigenschaften dieser Faser bieten die perfekte Balance zwischen der Weichheit und Sprungkraft der Merino-Wolle und dem leichten Glanz und der langen Stapellänge der Lincoln Longwool-Wolle – ein Traum für Wollliebhaber*innen! Das ideale Allround-Garn für alles von Zöpfen über Lace bis hin zu Kleidungsstücken und Accessoires.
Die Corriedale-Schafe werden auf den Falklandinseln gezüchtet, wo sichergestellt wird, dass die Tiere mit größter Sorgfalt behandelt werden und die Wolle garantiert mulesingfrei gewonnen wird. Die Faser wird dann in Großbritannien gefärbt und in der John Arbon Mühle in North Devon liebevoll vorbereitet, gemischt und gesponnen.

Das brachte das John Arbon Textiles Team auf die Idee, dass es wunderbar wäre, eine Garnserie zu kreieren, die von seiner vielseitigen Plattensammlung inspiriert ist – von Punk bis Funk ist alles dabei. Das Team begann, Farbtöne zu kreieren, die die Stimmung jedes Songs auf einer von John erstellten Playlist widerspiegeln sollten – und so entstand die Palette für Yarnadelic mit ihren 18 Melange-Farbtönen.

Yarnadelic by John Arbon Textiles is made from 100% Falklands Corriedale. This breed is around 100 years old and was created by crossing Merino and Lincoln Longwool. The properties of this fiber offer the perfect balance between the softness and bounce of Merino wool and the slight sheen and long staple length of Lincoln Longwool wool—a dream for wool lovers! The ideal all-round yarn for everything from cables to lace to garments and accessories.
Corriedale sheep are bred on the Falkland Islands, where the animals are treated with the utmost care and the wool is guaranteed mulesing-free. The fiber is then dyed in the UK and lovingly prepared, blended, and spun at the John Arbon Mill in North Devon.
About the colors: John, the founder of John Arbon Textiles, not only has a passion for wool, but is also an avid record collector. This gave the John Arbon Textiles team the idea that it would be wonderful to create a yarn series inspired by his eclectic record collection - everything from punk to funk included. The team began creating colors that would reflect the mood of each song on a playlist created by John – and so the Yarnadelic palette with its 18 melange shades was born.
