Der Maggie Cardigan wird von oben nach unten gearbeitet. Zuerst erfolgt der obere Teil der Rückseite mit Zunahmen. Danach werden die Schulterpartien aus aufgenommenen M an der oberen Rückseite gefertigt. Entlang der Schultern werden Maschen aufgenommen und die restl. Passe und der Rumpf werden in Reihen auf einer Rundstricknadel gestrickt. Die Ärmel werden in Runden auf einem Nadelspiel oder mit der Magic Loop Methode gearbeitet. Zuletzt werden Blenden entlang der vorderen Kanten und rund um den Halsausschnitt gestrickt.
Stricke zuerst eine Maschenprobe, um die für Dich korrekte Nadelstärke zu ermitteln. Wasche die Maschenprobe, bevor Du sie misst.
Größenguide
Der Maggie Cardigan sollte einen Bewegungsspielraum (positive ease) von ca. 5 cm haben. Die Größen XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) passen zu einem Brustumfang am Körper von 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. Die Maße der fertigen Strickjacke sind auf der Titelseite zu finden. Beachte: Diese Maße gelten nur, wenn die Maschenprobe eingehalten wird. Nimm zuerst von Dir selbst Maß, bevor Du mit dem eigentlichen Stricken beginnst, um die Größe zu ermitteln, die Dir am besten passt. Falls Dein Brustumfang (oder die breiteste Stelle an Deinem Körper) 90 cm misst, solltest Du Größe S wählen. Eine Strickjacke in Gr. S hat einen Brustumfang von 96 cm und hätte in diesem Fall einen Bewegungsspielraum (positive ease) von 6 cm.

The Maggie Cardigan is worked from the top down. First, the back yoke is worked flat, back and forth, shaped with increases. Then each shoulder is worked separately, from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the top of the back yoke. Stitches are then picked up and knitted along the shoulders, and the rest of the yoke and the body is worked back and forth on the circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a long circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. At the end, plackets are worked along the front edges and along the neck.
Begin by working a swatch to determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Wash and block the swatch before taking any measurements.

The Maggie Cardigan is designed to have approx. 5 cm [2 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 5 cm [2 inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement.
